DACC HIRES VP OF ACADEMICS

Danville Area Community College has hired a new leader for its education programs.

During its Sept. 23 meeting, the DACC Board of Trustees approved the hiring of Dr. Carl Bridges as vice president of academic affairs. In this role, Dr. Bridges will oversee the work of deans and faculty in all forms of teaching and learning in classrooms, labs, and online, on both the Danville Campus and the Hoopeston Learning Center. He will also be responsible for managing library services and classes at the Danville Correctional Center.

DACC Corporate Education Offering Forklift Operator Training

Danville Area Community College’s Corporate Education is offering Forklift Operator Training on Monday, October 11, 2021 from 8:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. at the DACC Technology Center.

DACC Nursing Program Accepting Applications - Deadline Oct. 8, 2021 at Noon!

Danville Area Community College’s nursing program is accepting applications for their Spring 2022 program.

 

• Applicants must meet the TEAS requirements

• Applicants must be registered and active in the remaining courses

The last day for applications to be received is OCTOBER 8, 2021 at Noon!

DACC 2021 Oktoberfest Open to be Held Oct. 1 & 2

Danville Area Community College is holding the 2021 Oktoberfest Open on Friday, October 1 and Saturday, October 2, 2021. The Two-Man Scramble 36-Hole Event benefits the DACC National Basketball Tournament Fund. The event will be held at the Danville Country Club.

The Friday Shot Gun Start begins at 1:00 p.m. The event is flighted after the 1st round. Saturday tee times begin at 9:00 a.m. starting with the highest scores.

DACC Men’s & Women’s Basketball Car Wash Fundraiser

Come out and receive an exterior only car wash by the Danville Area Community College Women’s and Men’s Basketball teams.  Your donation will be used for books, fees, travel, equipment, etc. This will also give you a chance to meet our student-athletes before our season kicks off! GO JAGS!!

DACC Annual College Day

Danville Area Community College will be holding the Annual College Day on Thursday, Sep-tember 16, 2021 from 9AM-11AM in the Mary Miller Gymnasium. DACC students and mem-bers of the community should take advantage of this opportunity to meet with representatives.

Masks are required to be worn at this event.

DACC Late Start Classes for Fall 2021

It’s not too late to register for Fall classes at Danville Area Community College. The Fall 2021 late start classes begin September 20 and October 18.

DACC will be offering in-person and online late start classes.

Take $600 OFF full-time tuition at DACC! *Some restrictions apply. Discount is non-refundable.

DACC Corporate Education 2021 Fall Training Opportunities

Danville Area Community College’s Corporate Education has upcoming training opportunities available. Effective immediately, face coverings are required for all in-person training participants per CDC guidelines.

DACC Fall 2021 Dual Credit Programs for High School Students

Danville Area Community College’s Dual Credit program allows high school students to take college-level courses and receive college and high school credits. The completed courses and grades are recorded on both the high school transcript and college transcript. The courses must be approved by the high school in advance. The Fall 2021 term begins August 23.
